# Media Library

Browse, organize, and reuse your organization's saved AI-generated images and videos — with folders, smart auto-filing, previews, and bulk actions.

## Overview

The **Media Library** is a standalone page holding your organization's saved AI-generated images and videos, ready to reuse across trainings. Everything you generate with HerdAI is saved here automatically.

To open it, click **Media Library** in the toolbar at the top of the **Trainings** page. (The step editor's **Add from media library** picker also links here via its **Manage library** button.)

## Browsing and organizing

The left sidebar organizes your media:

* **Recently added** — every live asset, newest first. This is a view of everything, not a folder.
* **Unfiled** — assets not yet filed into a folder.
* **Your folders** — each showing its item count.

On the grid you can **search** by title or description, filter by type (**All types / Images / Videos**), select assets (**Select all** / per-tile), and act on a selection with **Move to** (any folder, or back to **Unfiled**) and **Delete**. You can also **drag tiles** straight onto a folder in the sidebar.

Deleting is always safe for existing content: removing an asset (or a whole folder) never touches the steps already using it — steps keep their copy. Deleting a folder moves its items to **Unfiled**; no media is deleted.

### Generating from the library

Editors get a **Generate media** button in the page header with **AI image** and **AI video** options, so you can stock the library without going through a training step first. Generated items appear in the library when ready.

## Smart folders

Smart folders file new media for you. When creating (or renaming) a folder, turn on the **Smart folder** toggle and enter up to 20 **keywords**:

* Newly generated media whose **prompt, title, or description** matches any keyword is filed into the folder automatically.
* An asset lands in exactly **one** folder — the folder matching the most keywords wins.
* On creation you can optionally tick **Also file existing matching media** — a one-time sweep over unfiled media.
* Keyword changes on an existing smart folder apply to media generated from then on; nothing already filed is moved.

Smart folders are marked with a sparkle icon. If you move items *out* of a smart folder, they stay out — they're not re-filed even if they still match the keywords.

## Previewing and downloading

Click a tile's preview icon to open the asset full-size: images render at natural aspect ratio, and videos play with standard playback controls. The preview modal includes a **Download** button, and — when opened from the step editor's picker — an **Add to step** action.

Generated audio narration is titled with the first sentence of its script, so your library reads like content, not voice IDs.

## Using library media in a training step

In the step editor, open **Generate AI Content → From library** to pick from your saved media. The picker keeps a simple folder filter; all management (folders, smart folders, bulk moves, deletion) lives on the Media Library page.
